Mammoth area fishing is really fun right now. You can put in some effort and casts and find some total slabs on the Upper O…or grab your 2 or 3wt, and toss small mayfly dries to pods of wild rising fish on Hot Creek..same on many bends of the Upper O as well. No snow on the banks yet, and most days the weather has been great. To get the big fish you need to throw big attractors, and make sure your rig is heavy enough to ride the bottom. Finding fish in slower water, outside edges, slack water beyond current seams. We have openings this month, come hit the groomers early and chase some trout midday!
