Happy Spring Solstice! Longer and warmer days have brought about some really fun fishing. Lower Owens is flowing at an easily wadeable 77 cfs, and is fishing great subsurface almost all day, with a killer mayfly hatch some days around 1pm. Seeing some caddis and stonefly adults bring fish up occasionally, and it’s always fun to search foam lines with big dry. Upper Owens has some big fish to be found if you put in the time, but be careful where you drive / park as the road out there is a little sketch in some spots. Hot Creek is super fun, with some top water action, and fishing great with a dry dropper rig. Time to get up here and fish!
