Fishing has been really fun, and also challenging at the higher flows in our area. Yes, some waters are super high and difficult to fish currently, but others are kicking out really nice fish if you know where to find the fish (and how to get your flies to them). Our tactics and fly choices are also a bit different given the steady flow of snowmelt. Hot Creek has been solid, Upper Owens is picking up, and access to Lakes Basin and other small freestone streams is starting to happen. Mostly sub surface fishing, but hatches are starting to kick up on warmer days and there are terrestrials around. Definitely a good season to look into getting a guide to get you dialed.
